BALLAST PLUS is a system designed, for safety, cost-effectiveness, boat handling, stability, space saving, and it’s green, by moving water and fuel from a high center of gravity into a stabile ballast tank, freeing up, where the fuel and water were.
There are many advantages of moving the fuel weight from a high center of gravity to practical ballast weight, stabilizing the vessel with less weight above water line. The option to incorporate flexible water tanks as water ballast on keel ballast boats minimizing keel or centerboard weight. This will lighten the trailer weight and give more storage space. BALLAST PLUS can be installed on existing water ballast boats through a hatch, determined by the size of the flexible tank.
With BALLAST PLUS you will enjoy the availability of fuel (diesel, gasoline) fresh water, gray water. This will allow for extra safety for fuel storage, due to the fact that the ballast tank will protect it, as well as the hull of the vessel and the bag itself. If a leak were to occur, it can be contained in the ballast system for proper disposal.
With BALLAST PLUS each boat can customize where the ballast will go. This will optimize their storage of fuel and water, relative to the vessel size, freeing up much needed space for cargo and supplies. Another advantage of BALLAST PLUS, is for extra capacity on long voyages. The system can also have a pressurized air tank hooked to an air bag in the ballast to inflate in case of hull rupture, to add buoyancy to craft for safety and salvage.
Lead and iron are heavier than water, and water can be moved easily from one location to another by a simple pump. Ballast can be pumped for and aft or port and starboard to compensate for cargo weight
